Who we are
Queremos Graduarnos (QG) is a non-profit Venezuelan Civil Association that addresses school desertion in young adults with limited resources, of both genders and between the ages of 14 and 22. It focuses exclusively on the critical problem of the increasing number of young people who dropout of school to enter the world of crime, have an early pregnancy, or in the best of cases, take an informal and low-paid job.
Since its inception in 1989, the program has developed and tested a network of intervention, support and government subsidy for young adults, where each program activity reinforces fundamental values clearly defined, optimizing costs and efforts.
Beneficiaries receive various training workshops that help them reinforce values on issues such as citizenship, human rights, life purposes, among others. In addition, they are given financial aid so that they can cover transportation costs and school supplies. In exchange, our beneficiaries are encouraged to contribute positively in some way throughout their communities.
The goal of QG is that young adults, upon finishing high school, can enter higher education in various universities in Venezuela.
